2010 Video Contest
The Gloucester County Highway Safety Taskforce announces its seventh annual High School Video Contest.  Students will have a choice of four (4) topics this year:  (1) Driving Under the Influence, (2) Aggressive Driving, (3) Distracted Driving, and (4) Seatbelt Usage.  Students may team up to produce a 30 second video depicting the dangers of the selected topic(s).  The Grand Prize winning video will again be aired on commercial television, in addition to prizes for the top ten (10) videos.  The contest is open to any high school student residing in Gloucester County.  The deadline for entry is March 1, 2010.  For a complete set of rules, as well as a list of credible reference sites, please click here: 2010 Contest Rules
 
2009 Video Contest
The Gloucester county highway safety taskforce recently held its sixth annual High School video contest on April 29, 2008 at united artist Washington Township 14 theatre, 121 Tuckahoe Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Over $5,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded to the top video teams. This year’s contest received a record 129 entries. The taskforce congratulates Jason Walsh and Mike Calfin from West Deptford High School for taking this year’s top prize. You can see their commercial on broadcast television from May 29 to June 14, 2009. The commercial will air on ESPN, MTV, VH1, The Weather Channel, Comedy Central, and E! Entertainment. 2008 Video Contest
The Gloucester county highway safety taskforce recently held its fifth annual High School video contest on April 30, 2008 at united artist Washington Township 14 theatre, 121 tuckahoe road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Over $5,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded to the top video teams. This year’s contest received a record 79 entries. The taskforce congratulates students from Clearview High School for taking this year’s top prize.
 
Child Passenger Safety Technician Class  
The Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force and National Safe Kids recently sponsored a Child Passenger Safety Technician class at the Gloucester County Fire Academy. In all, thirty new technicians were trained to properly install child passenger safety seats. There is information available to find a technician or to schedule an appointment to have your seat checked.
