2009 Video Contest
The Gloucester County Highway Safety Taskforce has announced its sixth annual High School Video Contest.  The contest is open to any high school student residing in Gloucester County, New Jersey.  This year students have a choice of two topics:  Driving Under the Influence, and Aggressive Driving.  This year’s target message is “Drive to Stay Alive.”  Each video must be 30 seconds long, and this slogan must be incorporated into the video.  Entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2009.  This year’s Grand Prize Winner will have their video featured on broadcast television!  For a complete set of rules click here Click here
 
2008 Video Contest
The Gloucester county highway safety taskforce recently held its fifth annual High School video contest on April 30, 2008 at united artist Washington Township 14 theatre, 121 tuckahoe road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Over $5,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded to the top video teams. This year’s contest received a record 79 entries. The taskforce congratulates students from Clearview High School for taking this year’s top prize.
 
Child Passenger Safety Technician Class  
The Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force and National Safe Kids recently sponsored a Child Passenger Safety Technician class at the Gloucester County Fire Academy. In all, thirty new technicians were trained to properly install child passenger safety seats. There is information available to find a technician or to schedule an appointment to have your seat checked.
